Youth

Explore ministry opportunities for your middle and high school students at Shawnee Naz

Our desire for our Shawnee Church of the Nazarene Youth ministry is for our youth to have space to grow in a faith that is real, thoughtful, and lasting. A place where they can belong, ask honest questions, and learn what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life.

Ephesians 3:17–19 speaks of being rooted and established in love and growing in the ability to grasp the full scope of Christ’s love, how wide and long and high and deep it is. That kind of faith is formed over time through Scripture, community, and lived experience.

Whether a student is exploring faith, already following Jesus, or somewhere in between, there is space for them here.

6th-12th Grade

Sunday School Immediately Following Worship until noon

We offer two Sunday School classes designed to meet students where they are:
• Middle School (6th–8th Grade)
• High School (9th–12th Grade)

Both groups meet downstairs in the Youth Room hallway after worship. This is a focused time to engage Scripture, ask thoughtful questions, and grow in understanding of the Christian faith.

Wednesdays | 6:30–8:00 PM

Youth Group is our midweek gathering built around connection and community. Students are invited to show up as they are, bring friends, and engage in shared experiences, conversation, and time together. Our nights often include worship, small groups, and games, creating space for both fun and meaningful conversation.

Other Times We Meet

Retreats, trips, projects, and more!

Some of the most impactful moments happen outside our regular rhythm. Throughout the year, we create intentional opportunities for students to step away from the everyday and experience faith in new ways, including:

• Special Events
• Service Projects
• Intergenerational Connection
• Summer Camp
• District Events

These gatherings help students build deeper friendships, serve others, and take ownership of their faith.
