Brenda Coomes - Office Manager
Brenda Coomes is the Office Manager of Shawnee Church of the Nazarene. She grew up in Downey California, a Suburb of Los Angeles. After graduating from Downey High School she went on to work for her father’s Machine Tool and Die Company as a secretary. She met her husband Cliff Coomes and they decided to move to North Dakota to reunite with her parents. There she worked as a caregiver in a Nursing Home where she won the Caregiver of the Year Award. They have a daughter and three grandchildren that currently live in North Dakota. In 2012 they moved to Kansas to be close to Cliffs family and bought their first home in Shawnee in 2015, which led them to Shawnee Church of the Nazarene.
Brenda enjoys the fellowship of the ladies in Bible Study and being part of the church family which she now calls home.
In her spare time Brenda enjoys spending time with her husband and taking their two dogs Lexi and Jewel for walks. She enjoys being outdoors while listening to the birds and Christian music. She also enjoys watching football and baseball. Her favorite activity is going on long rides with her husband in their 1960 International Scout!
