Associate Pastor of Hispanic Ministries
Miguel Mendoza

Miguel Mendoza is the pastor of the Hispanic Congregation here at Shawnee.
Joining the staff in September 2007, Pastor Miguel has focused on introducing persons to Christ. His natural enthusiam and love for Christ is contagious.
Working with a core group of leaders, the Hispanic Congregation has grown to average about 60 persons. Pastor Miguel focuses on prayer, spiritual mentoring and discipleship.
Miguel is married to Pilar and they have 3 adult children.

John Pickens

John joined the Shawnee staff in September 2009 as a Youth Ministry Assistant. In May 2010 John became the full-time Associate Pastor to Youth. John is currently finishing his Master's of Divinity degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary and previously earned a Bachelor of Arts in Youth & Family Ministry from MidAmerica Nazarene University. Prior to coming to Shawnee Church of the Nazarene, John served at Westside Church of the Nazarene in Olathe, KS for 6 years in a variety of capacities. John is married to Naomi, a Junior High School teacher in the Olathe School District.

Richard Rosewicz

Richard joined our Shawnee Church congregation in 2004.
Richard is credentialed as a district licensed minister. He served as a volunteer pastor beginning in April of 2008 before joining the staff on a full-time basis as an Associate Pastor in March of 2010. Richard's responsibilities include service to all areas of our church, with emphasis on senior adult ministries. He is responsible for our outreach ministries at Sweet Life Nursing Home and Shawnee Hills Senior Living.
Richard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Calvary Bible College and is working on his Masters of Divinity at Nazarene Theological Seminary.
Richard and his wife Linda reside in Shawnee. They have two children and two grandchildren.

Kyle Tyler

Kyle came on staff in February 2007 as the Children's Ministry assistant. In May 2010, he became the full time Pastor to Kids and their Families. Kyle is super passionate about kids, music and Jesus. He love to teach through song, comedy, puppets and drama. he believes that kids have a connection with God that is unbelievably pure and right. He tries to be a kid in as many ways as possible, while still being considered an adult.
Kyle is married to his perfect complement, Menda, who is a preschool director. They have a little girl that will be making her way into the world very soon.

Mark Cork

Mark & Jacque Cork began their ministry together about the same time they began their marriage thirty years ago. Having lived primarily in the western United States, they've both served churches in a variety of pastoral roles. Regardless of their titles or job descriptions, leading corporate worship is where they are uniquely gifted and what they are most passionate about.
Jacque holds a Master's Degree from the University of Kansas, and is currently a middle school gifted and talented facilitator in the Shawnee Mission district. Mark is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene and is Vice President of Premier Studios where he leads the account team that services the Church of the Nazarene.
They live in an Olathe house that has outgrown their needs as empty nesters. They have three married children and are anxiously anticipating the December arrival of their first grandson.
Director of Adventure Time Preschool
Denyse Lero

Denyse Lero is the director of Adventure Time Preschool. Denyse joined the staff of ATPS in 1990. She was appointed as Director in 1993.
Adventure Time is a self-supporting community outreach program serving children 2 1/2 through 5 years of age. ATPS exists to introduce children to the fundamentals upon which their future learning rests. The goal of ATPS is to focus on the positive development of each child's self-confidence, social awareness, physical and cognitive development along with spiritual growth.
Denyse is married to Lenny. They have a married son, Scott, daughter in law, Amanda and a fantastic grandson named Zachary.
