New to Shawnee Nazarene
We want you to feel comfortable when you visit Shawnee Church of the Nazarene. Below is general information to help you feel more at ease when you walk through our doors. What should I wear?
The atmosphere at our church is relaxed. You will see people wearing a variety of clothing from a suit and tie to jeans and a t-shirt so dress in the clothes in which you are most comfortable.Where Should I Park?
We have visitor's parking on the north side of the church. Even though we have parking reserved just for you, we will not single you out as a visitor. You won't be asked to stand up or raise your hand during the service. You can remain as anonymous as you'd like, or let us know you are a guest and we will be happy to show you around and get to know you better. What Should I Expect?
During the service feel free to sit wherever you are comfortable.During the worship service, words to choruses and hymns are projected onto a big screen at the front of the sanctuary. There is a brief time to greet those seated near you.
A collection is taken during each service to support the work of the church and mission projects. We do not ask that visitors contribute. This offering is for those who regularly attend to support our church.
We partake in communion once every month. You do not need to be a member to participate. It is offered to all who are seeking to personally know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
Should I keep my children with me during the service?
Children 5 years old through the 6th grade are invited to attend The Neighborhood Children's Church during the service. Nursery and early childhood care are also available. Please check in your children under the age of 5 at one of the check in stations.
If you have questions, at any time during your visit with us, one of our greeters would be happy to assist you.
